Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003084490
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electrophotographic image forming device which can prevent the deposition of a low-resistance substance, such as ozone and Nox, on a surface layer of a latent image carrying member, can form an image having excellent resolution and decreased defects and can prolong the life of the latent image carrying member and to provide an electro latent image developing method.

This electrophotographic image forming device is furnished with a developing device provided with a developer carrying member which has a magnetic body fixed therein and rotates while carrying and supporting developers on its surface and a developer quantity regulating body which faces the magnetic body, regulates the quantity of the developers carried and supported on the developer carrying member and consists of materials having rigidity or the rigidity and magnetism, the latent image carrying member provided with a most surface layer containing fillers and an electrostatic charging member. The above electrophotographic image forming device forms the image by developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the latent image carrying member by two component developer consisting of toners containing coloring agents, resins and additives and magnetic carriers, in which the total amount of the additives in the toners is 1.2 to 2.5 pts.wt. and the BET surface area of the additives is 30 to 200 (m2/g).
