Title:
ELEVATOR DRIVING DEVICE DISPOSED IN COUNTERWEIGHT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3426353
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide new constitution dissolving the defects of an elevator motor constituted by well-known technology by disposing a rotating motor in a counterweight of an elevator.
CONSTITUTION: A rotating elevator motor provided with a traction sheave 18 is disposed in a counterweight 26 of an elevator suspended by ropes 2. A sector-shaped stator of the motor 6 has a diameter larger than the diameter of the traction sheave 18, and the elevator ropes 2 are passed through the opening of the stator. This structure allows the use of traction sheaves 18 of different diameters with rotors of the same diameter. The length of the motor remains short, and the motor/counterweight can be accommodated in the space normally reserved for a counterweight in a hoistway. A motor shaft is disposed in the counterweight 26 substantially midway between guide rails 8, and the same number of ropes 2 are arranged on both sides of the rotor.
