Abstract:
To provide an end detecting device for a strip that can precisely detect an end of the strip and also save the labor for maintenance, and a brushing device for strip comprising the same.SOLUTION: An end detecting device moves reciprocally along a width of a strip together with a brush roll to detect width-directional ends of the strip. The end detecting device comprises: a light projection part 8 which emits light from one side to the other side of top and reverse surfaces of the strip; a light reception part 9 which is arranged on the opposite side from the light projection part 8 across the strip, and receives the light projected by the light projection part 8; a plurality of covers 100 which cover the light projection part 8 and light reception part 9 individually; air jet means 11 which is provided for each of the respective covers 100, and jets air continuously toward the light projection part 8 or light reception part 9; and water jet means 12 which is provided for each of the respective covers 100, and jets water toward the light projection part 8 or light reception part 9 in predetermined timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
