Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless belt-shaped metal mold which is used, namely, is pressed to the surface of a thermoplastic film to transfer/form a fine pattern to/on the thermoplastic film, and to provide a method for producing the endless belt-shaped metal mold, in which the endless belt-shaped metal mold having satisfactory strength and a high-precision fine shape is produced with a high degree of freedom in shape, with high precision and at a low cost even when the endless belt-shaped metal mold has long peripheral length.SOLUTION: The endless belt-shaped metal mold comprises one or more flat metal plates each having a base layer and a plated layer, is constituted so that the base layer is exposed at the end of the flat metal plate and the exposed base layers of the adjacent flat metal plates are butt-welded to each other, and is characterized in that the fine pattern is formed on the plated layer.
