An LMS algorithm section 24 calculates the tap coefficient at the linear filter section 20 and the DFE section 22. A determining section 26 compares a plurality of receiving powers for a plurality of delay times in inputted delay profile data 200, respectively, with a threshold level, selects receiving powers not lower than the threshold level and then determines a maximum time out of the selected receiving power.
