Abstract:
To provide an effective and continuous genome modification method of Euglena.SOLUTION: A genome modification method of Euglena in which an introduction process of introducing a site-specific DNA nuclease into Euglena is performed. The site-specific DNA nuclease is a ribonucleoprotein composite including a guide RNA and a nucleic acid sequence recognition module, and the nucleic acid sequence recognition module is selected from the group consisting of a CRISPR-Cas system, a zinc finger motif, and a TAL effector. The introduction process is performed by introducing the site-specific DNA nuclease into a cell of Euglena.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
