Abstract:
To provide a field emission element for preventing arc occurrence due to high voltage applying.
The field emission element is equipped with a first substrate 42, a cathode 55 which is formed on the first substrate 42, electron emitting members which consist of emitters 46 and gates 47, the second substrate 41 which is disposed apart from the first substrate 42 at a prescribed distance to form a vacuum space with the first substrate 42, fluorescent members 54 formed on the second substrate 41 which emit lights by irradiation of electrons emitted from the electron emitting members, and mesh grids 50 which are arranged on the electron emitting members.
