Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fingernail adhesive which is excellent in adhesiveness, fungicidal properties, and storability.

CONSTITUTION: This adhesive comprises a cyanoacrylate adhesive and less than 1 wt.% halogen-nitropropane as a fungicide. Pref., the halogen-nitropropane is bromo-nitropropane and the cyanoacrylate is selected from the group consisting of isopropyl, ethyl, and methyl cyanoacrylates and mixtures thereof.
