To provide a fire pump apparatus for taking-in and delivering a large amount of water.
The fire pump apparatus includes: an engine mounted on a vehicle; a main pump to be driven by the engine; a water intake pump to be mounted on the vehicle and also removed and thrown into the water; a hydraulic driving system for the water intake pumps to be driven by the vehicle engine; a crane arm for lifting down the water intake pumps from the vehicle, and throwing the water intake pumps into the water and hauling up the water intake pumps from the water; and hose reels for winding and storing a hose connecting the water intake pumps to the main pump and a hydraulic hose to be used for the water intake pumps. The water intake pumps connected to the main pump by the hose is thrown into the water by the crane arm, and also the water intake pumps are driven by the hydraulic driving system so as to supply water to the main pump. Thus, a large amount of water is taken-in and also delivered.
