To provide a flow passage switching device which detects a position without obstructing the transmission of light due to the adhesion of water droplet to a slit and between a light emitting part and a light receiving part of a transmission type optical sensor.
This flow passage switching device in which at least either of a flow-in port and a flow-out port is composed of a plurality of openings has a member (rotor 71) driven to switch a plurality of openings (air flow-out ports H1 to H5) and a position detection means for detecting a switching position of the member. The position detection means is composed of the transmission type optical sensor 77 and a shading plate 79. The slid 79a constituting a transmission part of a shading plate 77 is formed in substantially vertical direction. Furthermore, a lower end between the light emitting part and the light receiving part of the transmission type optical sensor 77 arranged on both sides of the shading plate 79 is opened.
