Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new fluorine-containing organic silicon compound permitting to use water as a diluent and exhibiting excellent effects as a stainproofing agent, a water repellent, an oil repellent, and a mold releasing agent.
SOLUTION: The compound of the formula: CF3-CH2-O-CH2-CH2-CH2-Si(OR)3 (R is methyl, ethyl). For example, CF3-CH2-O-CH2-CH2-CH2-Si(OCH3)3. The compound of the formula is obtained, e.g., by subjecting 2,2,2- trifluoroethylallylether and the corresponding trialkoxysilane to a hydrosilylation reaction in the presence of a metal belonging to the group VIII of the periodic table. The compound of the formula (hydrolyzate) is added for obtaining a stainproofing agent, a water repellent, an oil repellent, and a mold releasing agent.
