Abstract:
To provide fluticasone formulations which can decrease a frequency of dosing, improve clinical efficacy, and potentially reduce side effects.
A fluticasone composition formulated for administration selected from the group consisting of oral, pulmonary, rectal, opthalmic, colonic, parenteral, intracisternal, intravaginal, intraperitoneal, local, buccal, nasal, and topical administration comprises: (a) particles of fluticasone or a salt thereof, wherein the fluticasone particles have an effective average particle size of less than about 2,000 nm; and (b) at least one surface stabilizer.
