To apply a load to a clutch assembly in the form of a lock-up clutch with freely selective pressure while characterizing a whole system to be simply constructed with a less number of components.
An operating device forms one structural unit together with a friction face supporting element of a first friction face assembly, and is joined to the input part of a force transmitting device or to a joint part between the input part of the force transmitting device and a pump wheel in such a manner as to be relatively turnable and axially movable and freely joined to the output part in such a manner as to be relatively non-turnable. A sealing device is provided for sealing a pressure chamber which can load the operating device with pressure medium, to a hydrodynamic component. A first sealing device is arranged between the operating device and the joint part between the input part of the force transmitting deice and the pump wheel, and a second sealing device is arranged between the operating device and the output part of the force transmitting device.
