Title:
FRAMEWORK ELASTIC UP TO LARGE HORIZONTAL DEFORMATION RANGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2623400
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate a brace and a frame after disaster striking, and to restore the frame to the existing state by fractionizing the cross section of a column material constituting the frame and lowering stiffness without damaging axial bearing force.
CONSTITUTION: A column material 1 organizing a frame is composed of a steel frame 4 having a U-shaped cross section, and the opened surface of the column material 1 is converged toward the outside as the direction orthogonal to the direction that a brace is attached. The column material is constructed by combining four steel frames 12 having box-shaped cross sections, and the width-thickness ratio of an original cross section is set at a required value at the time of division. Horizontal stiffness and flexural offset yield strength are lowered to fixed values respectively by dividing the cross section, and elasticity is kept up to large deformation corresponding to both values. The brace is removed from the framework of a building after disaster striking, thus returning residual deformation to the existing state by elastic returning force only of the framework.
