Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery single cell in which the reduction of an oxygen ion conductor of an electrolyte by hydrogen can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A fuel battery single cell 1 comprises: a first layer 11 formed by an oxygen ion conductor; an anode 12 disposed on the side of one face of the first layer 11; a cathode 13 disposed on the side of the other face of the first layer 11; an intermediate layer 14 disposed between the first layer 11 and the cathode 13; and a second layer 15 disposed between the first layer 11 and the anode 12, and formed from an oxygen ion conductor different from the oxygen ion conductor of the first layer 11. A Gd-doped doped ceria can be preferably used for the oxygen ion conductor of the first layer 11, and an yttria-stabilized zirconia can be preferably used for the oxygen ion conductor of the second layer 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
