Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel rod cylinder which is prominent in high mechanical resistance, reliable seal performance, simple structure, high safety at a failure, and flexible adaptability to a plurality of different damaged fuel rods.SOLUTION: There is provided a fuel rod cylinder, in particular, a fuel rod cylinder for fuel rods, and preferably, a fuel rod cylinder for damaged fuel rods, the fuel rod cylinder 1 including an inside chamber I which is surrounded by a cylinder bottom, a cylinder-side face 3 and a cylinder lid 4. Preferably, the fuel cylinder rod 1 is formed as a single-component type forged fuel cylinder rod, the cylinder lid 4 has a cylinder lid opening 13 which can be sealed by a sealing element 11, at least one accommodation pipe 7 for accommodating the fuel rods is arranged in the inside chamber I, the accommodation pipe 7 is liquid-tightly sealed to an end of the cylinder bottom side, and the sealing element 11 is insertable into the lid opening 13, and preferably, can be screwed into the lid opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
