Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of function of a fuel supply pump as a high pressure pump by restraining degradation of sealing performance of a discharge valve.
SOLUTION: In the fuel supply pump having a plurality of high pressure passages 33h, 33i and 33j in which fuel discharged from a plurality of plunger chambers 36 flows, a plurality of discharge valves 60 for opening and closing the plurality of high pressure passages 33h, 33i and 33j and a transporting passage 33k for making the fuel passing through the plurality of discharge valves 60 flow together, a connecting passage 33u is provided to connect between the high pressure passages 33i and 33j of the plurality of high pressure passages 33h, 33i and 33j.
