Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional sheet which allows the easy reach of light when an element for deodorizing, antimicrobial and other gas treatments is formed of a material obtd. by using a base material sheet and functional titanium oxide and, therefore, exhibits good deodorant and antimicrobial properties, is less bulky, is reduced in the manufacturing cost to the lowest possible level and is capable of preventing the deterioration of the base material sheet even if paper is used for the sheet and to provide the element for the gas treatment and a gas treating device formed by using such functional sheet.
SOLUTION: This functional sheet consists of a titanium oxide-deposited and perforated sheet 1 having the constitution obtd. by providing the base material sheet 1a, on which the functional titanium oxide consisting of the modified superfine titanium oxide formed by modifying the superfine titanium oxide having ≤100mm linear grain size or the surfaces thereof with a metal or metal compd. is deposited, with many pares 1b consisting of through-holes or nail-like notches which may be louvered. The combination use of the sheet 1 and an electrostatic filter is effective as well.
