To provide furniture and a living room structure for physically challenging persons which achieves ease of handling for a physically challenging person using a wheel chair and without discrepancy even in the installation in a living room.
This furniture for physically challenging persons includes a cushion 3 on which a user can sit or lie and a furniture body 2 to support the cushion 3 at a height easy to mount on or dismount from a wheel chair 5 and is installed on a floor to let a physically challenging person A feel at ease on the cushion 3. The furniture body 21 is provided with a recessed part 21 to prevent buffering with a foot rest of the wheel chair 5. The furniture body 2 is provided with at least one or more of a side table 23, a TV table 25 and a housing 22. The cushion 3 has fabrics with excellent abrasion resistance stuck on the surface of an elastic body to be allowed to contact the furniture body.
