Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for allowing easy centering with respect to exhaust pipes between which the gasket is mounted.SOLUTION: To seal a space between a first exhaust pipe 11 and a second exhaust pipe 12, an annular gasket 1 is mounted between a first flange 21 of the first exhaust pipe and a second flange 22 of the second exhaust pipe opposing each other in the state of being externally fitted to the first exhaust pipe. The gasket 1 is also constructed by using an expanded graphite tape 56 and a metal mesh material 57. It includes a concave first seal part 51. The first seal part has a first abutting face inside, which has a curved shape corresponding to the curved shape of a convex part 27 of the first flange protruded toward the side of the second flange. It is formed so that the first abutting face can abut on the convex part of the first flange.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
