Abstract:
To provide a device and a method, for presenting movement or a change of data performed by an intelligent storage element (ISE) of a network to a host, in a distributed storage system having global arrangement capacity of storage.
The device and method includes a virtual engine connectable to a remote device by the network for delivering an access command between the remote device and a storage space. The data storage system has a plurality of ISEs uniquely addressable by the virtual engine for delivering the access command. Data are transferred from a first ISE to a second ISE independently of the access commands being simultaneously delivered between the virtual engine and the first ISE.
