Abstract:
To provide a granule discharge stop method and discharge valve which can suppress granules from being cut into by valve bodies and discharge pipes.SOLUTION: A speed change operation is performed in the middle of a closing operation in which a valve body 22 slides from an open position to a closed position. By this speed change operation, the valve body 22 stops at a position where a certain gap is created with the inner surface of a discharge pipe 12. As a result, granules form a bridge that straddles the inner surface of the discharge pipe 12 and the valve body 22. Once the granule bridge is formed, the granule bridge acts as a dam, and the flow of granules in the discharge pipe 12 is stopped. At this time, on a discharge port 17 side of the granules forming the bridge, granules pass through the discharge port 17 and are discharged. After a certain period of time when the valve body 22 is stopped, the closing operation of the valve body 22 is resumed, and the valve body 22 is slid to the closed position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
