To provide a device for blanking the green sheet of a ceramic sheet which does not have the sharpened edge of a blanked hole (a cavity) and therefore, hardly has a chipped edge part with the other advantages that there is no possibility of damaging an electronic component mounted in the blanked hole; a precise blanking work can be performed; and less working manhour and the absence of qualitative dispersion (shape) are ensured, and a green sheet blanking method using this device.

A stripper 8 has a sharply pointed protrusion 8c which is formed on the entire periphery of the rim, on the die 2 side, of a through hole 8a; smaller in height than the thickness of the green sheet W; and has a pressing face formed in the way that an inner wall face coincides with the inner wall face of the through hole 8a, while an outer wall face becomes gradually lower toward the outside. When the green sheet W is held between the die 2 and the stripper 8, the sharply pointed protrusion 8c eats into the green sheet W and the pressing face presses the green sheet W. Consequently, the edge(e) of the blanked hole Wa is formed into a shape negotiating the pressing face.
