To provide a grinding tool having a plurality of areas different in performance on a grinding surface, the respective areas working on a workpiece simultaneously and continuously.
A grinding wheel 10 includes: a cylindrical metallic support 12, and an abrasive layer 24. The abrasive layer 24 is divided into three areas: a first area 18; a second area 20; and a third area 22. The first area 18 and the second area 20 and the second area 20 and the third are 22 which are respectively adjacent to each other have different performance. A border line between the first area 18 and the second area 20, and a border line between the second area 20 and the third area 22 are inclined to the traveling direction of the grinding surface 14. Thus, the respective areas work on the workpiece simultaneously and continuously.
