Patent Searching and Data

Title:
HANDWRITTEN CHARACTER RECOGNITION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03263188
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent handling from becoming complicated by specifying the kind of characters which are entered in a tablet after the characters are entered.

CONSTITUTION: Stock data storage circuits 5 are provided as many as characters and stored with stroke data on all the entered characters. A recognition control part 8 performs recognition processing based upon the contents of corresponding character kind storage circuits 6 and only changes the kind of a corresponding character when an error in character kind specification after writing is found. A recognition control part 8 can recognize only the changed character again. Consequently, characters are freely entered without reference to the character entry format and easily rewritten.
