Abstract:
To provide a hard metal alloy for a die which has sufficient corrosion resistance on electric discharge machining wear resistance and chipping resistance as the die.
The hard metal alloy has a composition which contains 6 to 20 wt.% Co and Ni in total, and 6 to 10 wt.% Cr expressed in terms of chromium carbide to the total of Co and Ni, and 14 to 30 wt.% Ni to the total of Co and Ni, and in which the mean particle diameter of tungsten carbide in the alloy is 0.8 to 3 μm, and the balance tungsten carbide with inevitable impurities.
