PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp that can be put on a helmet or a cap and can illuminate a wide range without having a user turn his or her head.SOLUTION: A mount 10 is formed into an arc band-like plate, its rear surface is provided with a shock absorbing member 11 and a fitting base 12 is protruded forward at the mount. A length of a lamp main body 20 is in a range of about 1/8 to 1/4 of a circumferential length of a shell such as a helmet and a fitting bracket 22 is protruded rearward at its rear surface. The fitting bracket is connected to the fitting base between the first position where it faces to a horizontal forward direction and the second position where it faces to a slant downward direction in such a way that the fitting bracket can be turned and hold its turning position. A lamp main body stores a light emitting module 21 extending in a lengthwise direction of the lamp main body and performing plane emission. The light emitting module is formed into a band-plate like shape and the front surface of the lamp main body is sealed by a transparent or translucent light transmission member 23. A telescopic motion belt 20 is fitted to the mount and then the mount is installed at the outer surface of a shell such as a helmet.
