Title:
HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5531204
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent rusting and unnecessitate brazing by a mechanism wherein a tank is constructed by two hafl-cut bodies of synthetic resin, connecting tubes on the tank by expanding and caulking the tube tips with gaskets inbetween, and jointing the two halves by friction welding.

CONSTITUTION: Tank 2 is consisted of outer half-cut body 2a and inner half-cut body 2b, and the two halves are jointed into a unitary body after tubes 11 of the heat exchanger part 4 are connected each other. Each of the half bodies is made of synthetic resin, and the connection of the inner half body and the tubes are made by expanding and caulking the ends of the tubes with gasket 13 inbetween. Expansion and caulking work of the tube tip parts 16 and 17 are performed at the same time. After the insertion and fixing of tubes 11 are completed, circumferential edges of the two half-cut bodies are butted accurately and the butted edges 8 are adhered by bonding agent or by friction welding and the whole tank body 2 is completed.
