To provide a heat storage unit enabling a damage to a heat storage container due to the volumetric change of a heat storage material to be suppressed by a simple structure.
This heat storage unit 4 comprises the heat storage material 40, the heat storage container 41, and a heat storing refrigerant pipe 43. The heat storage material 40 changes its phase between a solid and a liquid by heat-exchanging with a refrigerant. The heat storage container 41 stores the heat storage material in the opened state of the upper surface of the heat storage material. The heat storing refrigerant pipe 43 is installed in the heat storage container 41 so that at least a part of the upper surface of the heat storage material 40 can be molten at the beginning of melting at which the heat storage material 40 starts to melt by the heat exchange with the refrigerant, and the refrigerant is passed through the inside of the heat storage refrigerant pipe.
