Abstract:
To provide a heat treatment furnace capable of suppressing early deterioration of a cooling housing installed in a cooling unit, and allowing a water-cooling jacket to be used in a high temperature portion that cannot be used conventionally.SOLUTION: A heat treatment furnace includes: a heat treatment unit configured to heat-treat a workpiece; a cooling unit configured to cool the workpiece heat-treated by the heat treatment unit; and a conveyor configured to convey the workpiece in the heat treatment unit and the cooling unit. The cooling unit includes a housing arranged below a conveyance path on which the workpiece is conveyed by the conveyor, the housing configured to cool, by means of liquid flowing therein, the workpiece being conveyed by the conveying device. The housing includes an upper plate facing the workpiece being conveyed by the conveyor. The upper plate is inclined so as to retain air at a prescribed part of the upper plate, when the liquid is flowing in the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
