Abstract:
The present invention relates to haemofilters for the removal of bacterial toxins (lipopolysaccharides) from the blood comprising a solid support onto which cyclodextrins are covalently bound. The solid support may be a fabric or non-woven fabric or a polymeric resin obtained from the cross-linking of cyclodextrins using suitable cross-linking agents, for example epichlorhydrin.
