Title:
HIGH-CONDUCTIVITY AND HIGH-FLEXUOSITY COPPER ALLOY WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000113731
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a high-conductivity and high-flexuosity copper alloy wire suitable for a conductor of a robot drive cable, and its manufacture.

In this high-conductivity and high-frexuosity copper alloy wire made of (In Situ) formed chromium fiber reinforced copper matrix compound material, at an intermediate stage of a manufacturing process for a wire rod obtained by in-situ-forming a copper matrix with chromium layer fiber, the wire rod is nickel-plated, then applied with heat treatment to generate interdiffusion of the nickel and the copper, thus the surface of the wire rod is coated with a copper-nickel alloy layer of copper base.
