Abstract:
To provide a hollow fiber that is adequately produced by using a solution of unmodified cellulose and without reducing a molecular weight of the cellulose, and to provide a method of conducting wet spinning for the hollow fiber.
This spinning method comprises: using unmodified cellulose as a raw liquid which is obtained by dissolving unmodified cellulose in a mixed solvent of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride that is an ionic liquid and N, N-dimethylacetamide that is an aprotic solvent; and spinning a hollow fiber of which a molecular weight of unmodified cellulose is 50,000 g/mol or more, by using a core-in-sheath double nozzle.
