Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique related to a honeycomb filter which suppresses occurrence of cracks in a partition wall and leakage of a particulate substance even when there occur cracks.SOLUTION: A honeycomb filter 50 includes a honeycomb structure part having a partition wall 9 dividing a plurality of cells and a plurality of opening sealing parts which seal openings of the inflow end surface side of a first cell 11 and openings of the outflow end surface side of a second cell 15. The first cells 11 and the second cells 15 are arranged alternately. In a cross section perpendicular to the extending direction of the cells of the honeycomb structure part, the cross sections of a plurality of cells have a corner part 21. The partition wall 9 in parts which constitute corner parts 21 of 20% or more cells among all the cells have a concave part 17.
