Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal type band saw machine in which front sides of driving and driven wheels provided in a saw blade housing are opened and the structure of the saw blade housing is simplified, and which is improved in safety.SOLUTION: The horizontal type band saw machine is provided with: opened front sides of a driving wheel 21 and a driven wheel 23 which are provided in a saw blade housing; one protective wall 27 for blocking up at least the lateral side of the driving wheel 21, which is provided in a base frame 3; another protective wall 29 for blocking up at least the lateral side of the driven wheel 23, which is provided in the base frame 3; a door 31 for freely blocking up the front side of the driving wheel 21, which is openably-closably provided on the protective wall 27; a door 25 for freely blocking up the front side of the driven wheel 23, which is openably-closably provided on the protective wall 29; and a curtain 41 for preventing chips and cutting oil scattered from sticking to the inner surface of the door 31, which is provided between the saw blade housing 19 and the door 31.
