Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle capable of being charged by domestic power supply, exerting the quietness and high power of a motor, traveling over a long distance, and being manufactured at a lower cost.
SOLUTION: A motor output shaft is connected to a transmission input shaft, and a one-way clutch 4 is mounted between the engine output shaft and the transmission input shaft, such the clutch that transmits no power from a transmission side to an engine side, and transmits the power from the engine side to the transmission side only when engine speed is equal to idling speed or higher. This electric vehicle is provided with an accelerating/decelerating means 7 which is connected to a single accelerator pedal and accelerates/decelerates the rotational speeds of a motor 5 and an engine 1 continuously, and a switching means 8 which regulates the engine speed so as not to reach the idling speed or higher in running the motor and breaks the connection of the motor and a battery in running the engine.
