Abstract:
To expand EV travel and to prevent deterioration of driveability that may occur when no-load traveling in a hybrid vehicle.
When a driving mode is CD mode and an engine ENG stops, a Wout control unit 154 widens a discharge allowable power Wout to W1 larger than W0. An engine operation determiner 156 determines whether to operate the engine ENG in a load operation or not, based on W0 when the driving mode is CS mode and on W1 when the driving mode is CD mode. When the engine ENG operates in a non-load operation, the engine operation determiner 156 determines whether to operate the engine ENG in the load operation or not, based on W0 even when the driving mode is the CD mode.
