This clutch operating device 5 connects and disconnects the clutch by supplying oil hydraulics to a slave cylinder 6 for connecting and disconnecting the clutch on the basis of the operation of a clutch pedal device 14 and the operation of the motor 16 driven by a clutch control signal, and comprises a hydraulic circuit 27 for manual operation and a hydraulic circuit for automatic operation. The hydraulic circuit 27 for manual operation has a second valve mechanism 45 opened by the operation of the clutch pedal device 14, and supplies the oil hydraulics to the slave cylinder 6. The hydraulic circuit 28 for automatic operation has first and second pistons 31, 41 operated by driving the motor, and closes the second valve mechanism 45 by their operations to supply the oil hydraulics to the slave cylinder 6.
