Abstract:
PURPOSE:To generate working oil pressure without waste by detecting or estimating turbine torque of a torque converter to set oil pressure in a hydraulic control device. CONSTITUTION:Line oil pressure PL is controlled according to a kind of speed change and turbine torque TT. The line oil pressure is held at a low lever PL1 required for ensuring the second speed step until speed change is output at time A. After that, the line oil pressure is increased to a newly regulated high lever PL2 according to a kind of speed change level, 2-3 speed change, and turbine torque TT simultaneously with 2-3 up-shift command. Thus, the working oil pressure of a frictional engagement device is increased and decreased depending upon turbine torque TT. Accordingly, there is no scattering in torque of an output shaft after speed change is completed, and furthermore, speed change time can be controlled to be substantially fixed.
