Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a novel hydrazine derivative having high insecticidal effect on insect pests of Lepidoptera.
CONSTITUTION: This hydrazine derivative is represented by formula I (A is H, a 1-4C alkyl; R1-R5 are each H, a halogen, a 1-4 alkyl, a 2-5C alkenyl, cyano, nitro; R6 is H, cyano, a 1-4C alkyl, a halogen; R7 is a 3-10C branched alkyl, a substituted 1-4C straight chain alkyl), for example, N-7-methylbenzofuran-6- carbo-N'-tert.-butyl-N'-3,5-dimethylbenzoylhydrazine. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction of a hydrazide compound of formula II with a benzoyl halide of formula III (X is a halogen) in the presence of a base in an inert solvent.
