To provide an illumination device for an aircraft, which can be made compact and lightweight and can stop an illumination lamp at the desired position of an optical axis.
The illumination device for an aircraft carries out illumination by the illumination lamp attached to the aircraft, and the device includes: a support shaft pivotally supporting the illumination lamp; an illumination lamp-rotating means to change the optical axis of the illumination lamp by rotating the illumination lamp around the support shaft as a rotation axis; an illumination lamp rotation range-regulating means regulating the rotation range of the illumination lamp by the illumination lamp-rotating means; and an illumination lamp-holding means holding the illumination lamp in a first aspect of holding the illumination lamp at one end of the regulated position by the illumination lamp rotation range-regulating means and in a second aspect of holding the illumination lamp at the other end of the regulated position.
