An image capturing apparatus includes an optical system 5 including lens or a reflection mirror, an image sensor 6 including a plurality of light receiving pixels which have a light receiving surface at which the image of light beam from the optical system 5 is formed and which generate an electric charge at the light receiving surface using light beam from the optical system 5, a unit 8 for generating bias voltage which supplies electric power to the image sensor 6, a unit 9 for processing a signal which processes a signal output from the image sensor 6 and outputs the signal as image data, and a control unit 10 for input of a drive clock for controlling the transfer of the electric charge generated at the light receiving pixel of the image sensor 6 to the image sensor 6. The image sensor 6 is curved such that distortion aberration possessed by the optical system 5 is solved.
