Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record image data without missing a shutter chance anytime and without increasing cost more than needed even if a storage medium is in a writing prevention state.SOLUTION: In an image data recording apparatus for writing image data and management data onto a storage medium including a writing prevention function, a writing possibility state indicating whether the storage medium is in the writing prevention state or in a non-writing prevention state is detected. If the storage medium is in the non-writing prevention state, a sequence of normal control is executed and if the storage medium is in the writing prevention state, a sequence of extraordinary control is executed. In the sequence of the extraordinary control, it is confirmed for a user by confirmation means whether writing onto the storage medium can be executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
