Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain enlarged and reduced images with the same gradation level as that of an original image without changing the gradation of a picture element by equalizing the degree of the density of each picture element before and after the image is reduced or enlarged. CONSTITUTION:A image information 1 to be converted enters a selector 3, and is separated into a position information (i, j) and a set (k, l) of pattern information (k) and color information l. The position information (i, j) enters an image conversion processing part 4, and its coordinate are converted by the enlargement and reduction algorithm, thereby making it into a position information 5 after the conversion. The (k, l) and the position information 5 after the conversion are made into a set again to enter a control part 9, and the pattern information (k) of inputted image information (i', j', k, l) is collated with the pattern information example beta of a conversion table (p). The control part 9 takes out the coloring distribution pattern [(i, j), (i+2, j), (i+2, j+2)] of a dot corresponding to a pattern information k3, and outputs it together with the after conversion position information 5.
