Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the start-up time of the entire image formation apparatus without forming an unnecessary image on a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus starts a rotary polygon mirror based on an FG signal output from a drive motor, acquires a BD signal output from a BD by emitting light from a laser light source during control of the rotational speed of the rotary polygon mirror based on the FG signal, acquires the phase relation between the FG signal and the BD signal, turns off the laser light source after acquiring the phase relation, performs application of an electric charge to toner by a development device and electrification of a photoreceptor drum by an electrification device, makes the laser light incident on the BD without exposing the photoreceptor drum on the basis of the phase relation between the BD signal and the FG signal following the fact that the rotational speed reaches the target speed by control of the rotary polygon mirror with the FG signal, controls the rotational speed of the rotary polygon mirror with the BD signal output in accordance with incidence of the laser light on the BD, and starts image formation following the fact that the rotational speed of the rotary polygon mirror converges to a prescribed range containing the target speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
