Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of an out of focus state even at the time of executing the zoom operation after once a focusing state is obtained by preparing micro-data for compensating information less than the minimum resolution from the moving speed of a variable power lens and a lapse time after the output of an A/D converter is changed at the time of converting the position of the variable power lens into a digital value by the A/D converter having limited resolution and preparing position data, obtaining a substantially equivalent effect without increasing the resolution of the A/D converter, highly precisely detecting the position of the variable power lens group, and exactly setting the moving position of a focusing lens decided according to the position of the variable power lens group.
CONSTITUTION: The position of a variable power lens group 1 is detected, the position is converted into the digital value by the A/D converter having the limited resolution, and outputted as position rough data. Then, the moving speed of the variable power lens group 1 is multiplied by the lapse time after the position rough data are changed, a value based on the multiplied value is outputted from a second position detecting part 9 as position micro- data, and the added value of the position rough data and the position micro-data is outputted as the position data of the variable power lens group 1. Then, the moving position of a focusing lens 2 is decided according to a focal distance decided by the position data.
