An imaging device includes: an imaging element 6 for temporally continuously generating electronic image data by receiving the rays of light condensed from a predetermined visual field area; a recording medium 17 for recording the image data generated by the imaging element 6; a display part 15 capable of displaying a live view image corresponding to the image data generated by the imaging element 6 and/or a photographic image corresponding to the image data recorded by the recording medium 17; and a display control part 231 for allowing the display part 15 to display the live view image in a blank portion on the display region of the display part 15 in a state that a display part 15 is allowed to display a part of the photographic image.
