Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating image holder which reduces the cost on the whole of regenerating device system of the image holder by reducing the consumption of a liquid for peeling and removing treatment and a surfactant contained therein, is capable of maintaining the concn. of the surfactant even in the repetitive use of the liquid and makes it possible to obtain a good fixability of image at the time of reutilization and an apparatus therefor.
SOLUTION: This regenerating device of the image holder has a liquid applying unit for applying, dividely plural time, a liquid contg. a surfactant to the image holder on which a hydrophobic image consisting of thermally flexible image forming material is formed, and a peeling unit for peeling and removing the hydrophobic image from the surfaces of the image holder coated with the liquid. This liquid applying unit is so constituted as to apply the liquid 205 contg. the surfaces of a low concn. to the image holder, then applying the liquid 209 contg. the surfactant of a high concn. thereto.
