Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of lubricating grease from a clutch case by engagingly locking a cover closely on the inside periphery of the opening part of a clutch case, and axially connect the clutch case and a pinion by the cover.
SOLUTION: A cover 27 is made up of a conical ring-shaped body part 27a, and a ring-shaped bead part 27b of L-shaped cross-section, which is integrally connected to the inside peripheral edge of the body part 27a. When the body part 27a is practically deformed into the shape of a flat plate, contraction of the inside peripheral edge of the body part 27a is suppressed by the bead part 27b to expand the outside peripheral edge to doveteil it into a locking groove 25 in the inside periphery of the opening part of a clutch case 12, and the bead part 27b is engaged with a collar part 26 on the outside periphery of the shaft part 14a of a pinion 14.
