Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of equipment and the productivity by restraining the wearing of castable refractory in an immersion tube of RH, DH, CAS, etc., as the secondary refining equipment.
SOLUTION: In the immersion tube of RH, DH, CAS, etc., as the secondary refining equipment, a ring shaped bar steels or a hollow tube are fitted to the position apart from the outer peripheral surface of a core metal 3 through supporting members 8. Plural pieces of ring-like studs 7 forming loops around the core metal 3 are arranged and the castable refractory 2 is executed to these ring-like studs 7 to restrain the development of crack in the outer peripheral castable refractory 2 on the immersion tube.
